Make a Home-page and Project Home-page

This is not much work, but you need to do it soon in order to make sure that you can overcome any administrative delays.

Setup a home-page for yourself and your project. There should be at least two (HTML, XML, PHP, or etc) files. If you already have a home-page there is no need to make another. Add a link to your new project page on your home-page. You have a choice of where to host your project documents. Wherever you choose, they must be accessible by all on the Internet. One possibility for hosting your project documents is provided by Virginia Tech's Information Systems and Computing for all Virginia Tech students. Information about this service can be found at https://admin.filebox.vt.edu/ or http://www.computing.vt.edu/.

Project Home-page

This web page should have a project title and an outline of your project explaining what you would like to do in 50 to 300 words. Wither or not this is what your project will be is not relevant at this point, just take a stab at it, make something up, and get acquainted with the idea of the physics 3356 course student project. That is all that is required at this point. You'll be building on this as the project and the class develops. The focus of this assignment is to get some web pages setup on the Internet. See the student project requirements for more information about the course student project.

You will be responsible for making sure that your web-based project files are not lost. Using filebox.vt.edu may be good enough.

The purpose of this assignment is to get you acquainted with developing web pages, if you already are, then that's good.

Send an email to lanceman@phys.vt.edu with the URL (Uniform Resource Locater or web address) of your home-page by the assignment due time. Please make sure that the default reply address of the email you send is a valid email address for you. This email address will be used throughout this course.
